Ideový návrh a kontext diela „In my dream I kill you“

Dielo sa technicky skladá z dvoch obrazov v jedenej projekcii, autorkin 3D portrét v čase snenia a  scrolované obrazy hrôzy vojny. Obsahovo reflektujem zložitú situáciu narušenia procesu spánku v nadväznosti na konkrétnu udalosť a v súčasnosti pretrvávajúci stav – napadnutie Ukrajiny Ruskom vo februári 2022. Scrolovanie najnovších správ, výjavov z vojny na Ukrajine na sociálnych sieťach pred spaním má pre náš spánok a relax devastačné účinky ako apnoe, prerušovaný spánok, fyzická a psychická únava, zamrznutie. Napriek tomu viacerí/é vytrvávame v „zlozvyku“, ktorým nikomu nepomáhame, pričom vlastná vedomosť o bezvýchodiskovosti tohto počínania v nás zároveň ešte viac umocňuje pocit bezmocnosti. Slová ako „snívalo sa mi, že som ho zabila/zabil“, „snívam o jeho smrti“, „prajem si, aby zomrel“, som za posledný rok neraz počula od viacerých inak mierumilovných ľudí v mojom blízkom okruhu. Takéto pre človeka apriori nehumánne nahlas vyslovené „prianie“, či podvedomá forma sna je ale rovnako prejavom bezmocnosti a bezvýchodiskovosti, z ktorej sa nevieme zobudiť.
Takáto forma snívania má apokaliptický rozsah na náš vnútorný svet, pričom ten vonkajší sa nám rozpadáva pred očami.

The work technically consists of two images in one projection, a 3D portrait of the author while dreaming and scrolled images of the horrors of war. In terms of content, I reflect on the complex situation of disruption of the sleep process in connection with a specific incident and currently ongoing situation – the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022. Scrolling through the latest news, scenes from the war in Ukraine on social networks before going to bed has devastating effects on our sleep and relaxation, such as apnea, intermittent sleep, physical and mental fatigue, freezing. Despite this, many of us persist in the „bad habit“ of not helping anyone, while our own knowledge of the hopelessness of this behavior intensifies the feeling of helplessness even more. I have heard words like „I dreamed that I killed him“, „I dream of his death“, „I wish him to die“, many times over the past year from several otherwise calm and peaceful people among my close ones. Such an apriori inhumane voiced „wish“ or subconscious form of a dream is also a manifestation of helplessness and hopelessness from which we cannot wake up.
Such a form of dreaming has an apocalyptic scope on our inner world, with the outer one disintegrating before our eyes.
